Android ToolTips Play Store Demo

ToolTips is an Open Source Android library that allows developers to easily display tooltips for views.

Getting It

Android ToolTips is available on Maven Central, so you can use the normal methods to acquire the library.

Gradle

compile 'com.ryanharter.android.tooltips:library:0.0.3'

Usage

Add a com.ryanharter.android.tooltips.ToolTipLayout view to your layout such that it fills the view view and overlays everything else.
Create ToolTip instances using the Builder class.
Add the ToolTips to your view.

    xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools"

    android:layout_height="match_parent"

ToolTip t = new Builder(myContext)
        .anchor(myAnchorView)      // The view to which the ToolTip should be anchored
        .gravity(Gravity.TOP)      // The location of the view in relation to the anchor (LEFT, RIGHT, TOP, BOTTOM)
        .color(Color.RED)          // The color of the pointer arrow
        .pointerSize(POINTER_SIZE) // The size of the pointer
        .contentView(contentView)  // The actual contents of the ToolTip
